“…I was in prison and you came to visit me.” — Mt.25:36
The prison ministry of Rise Again Outreach brings the message of Hope and Healing, found in the person of Jesus Christ, to prisoners and ex-prisoners in central New Hampshire. It seeks to fulfill the Biblical mandate to visit those in prison (Mt. 25:36). We serve men and women devastated by their addictive and criminal behaviors by bringing the Gospel of Salvation, Hope, Healing, and Restoration to them and by providing the tools necessary for them to be faithful followers of Christ throughout their incarceration and transition back into society.
Our ministry to those incarcerated includes evangelism, faith-based relapse prevention and restoration groups i.e. Celebrate Recovery Inside, Celebrate Recovery: Life’s Healing Choices, and Genesis Process, as well as pastoral counseling, and prayer ministry. Through our active partnership and participation with the NH Reentry Taskforce, we help provide continuity through the re-entry process; from anticipating release through healthy re-integration into society and the Christian community. Upon release, we also provide follow-up through faith-based relapse prevention and restoration groups i.e. Celebrate Recovery and Genesis Process. We collaborate with and refer individuals to appropriate aftercare ministries, churches, and agencies, and provide one-on-one mentoring, encouragement, and support.
