Neighbor to Neighbor Silent Auction Helps Us Rise Again

Last night we held our first ever fundraising event at the Nazarene church in Loudon. Over 100 local and regional businesses donated goods and services for the event, which raised over $5,000!!! Our thanks go out to each contributor, all the volunteers who put it together, and to all those who came out to show their support and enjoy the event. We especially thank Bob and Jewell for...well...everything! Every dollar raised will be used directly in our ministry of sharing the love of Christ with our neighbors in need and we are more motivated than ever to reach out to as many people as possible. If you would like to volunteer and be a part of our mission email me at wjp@riseagainoutreach.org. Thanks again to all of you who participated!!!

Rise Again Bus Visits Franklin

This past Saturday we were invited to make two stops with the mobile pantry in Franklin. We had quite a large welcoming. We served approximately 65 people! As we pulled into the seconds stop at the Franklin Savings Bank parking lot, I was reminded of Romans 10:15 "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" It was cold with a strong, chilly wind and yet dozens of people patiently stood in line to shop the bus. While they were waiting the staff had a chance to get to know them. We met a woman and her teenage son who just went from homelessness to housing. In addition to the food, clothing and personal care items on the bus, we'll be helping her with furniture from our furniture exchange as well. We got to know Josh and his wife and young son. Josh was recently laid off from work and they were able to pick up some needed winter clothing. Josh has a great attitude and is looking to get back to work ASAP. There were many others who were also facing challenging times. We were thanked over and over again and as we were asked to please come back on a regular basis. Praise God and rich blessings for all of you who donate to Rise Again. Your generosity is touching hundreds of people as we drive into some of the most depressed areas. We are in the process of planning a trip to Manchester soon. Please continue to pray for our ministry, and please continue to help your neighbor through Rise Again.

The Mobile Pantry Makes the First Outreach

The bus has made it first outreach into the Concord area. We stopped at two locations: Morning Star Apartments on Loudon Road, and Grappone Park near Jennings Drive. We did not know what to expect but to no surprise the Lord blessed this ministry and we served a total of 92 people! We were also able to give out 25 Bibles! Keep checking back for updates and pictures.
